The work, carried out by the company Iluminaciones Flores e Hijos, has been underway for several weeks, involving the installation of wiring and metal structures to support the luminous arches. This year introduces new decorative motifs, designed to shine both at night when lit and during the day with their bright, colorful decorations.
The entire municipality will benefit from the illumination, including neighborhoods and urbanizations at their entrances, as well as the urban thoroughfare from Santa Clara to Pinos de Alhaurín, Avenida de Ceuta and Presidente Adolfo Suárez, and the historic town center.
The recently renovated Avenida de España will play a central role, featuring spectacular lighting with luminous columns and aerial arches. Alongside Plaza de San Sebastián, it will host the inauguration and switch-on ceremony on December 4th.
New additions include a garland mesh on the City Hall facade and luminous Christmas trees in various squares. The Department of Festivals and Tourism will soon announce the full festive program, which will include traditional 'zambombas', children's activities, New Year's Eve celebrations, and the Three Kings' Parade.
