The action, promoted by the Cordoba Platform against Gender Violence, will begin in Lucena on October 29th at 12:00 PM at the entrance of the Castillo del Moral. There, the olive tree in the space will be covered with violet butterflies created by women's groups and the Urban Knitting Association ‘Tejiendo las calles de Lucena’.
Over the coming weeks, these decorative elements will be displayed on trees in various neighborhoods and public buildings, aiming to involve citizens in raising awareness about gender violence.
The campaign will also reach the districts of Las Navas del Selpillar and Jauja. In Las Navas, the inauguration will be on November 25th at 11:30 AM in the Plaza Mayor, while in Jauja it will be held at 5:00 PM in the park.
The butterflies will remain on display until November 25th, thus adding spaces in Lucena and its districts to this collective action of awareness and rejection of sexist violence.
