The Subbética Motorcycling Union, with the support of the Lucena City Council, is organizing the twelfth edition of Rider Andalucía, scheduled from October 15 to 18. Under the slogan ‘Kilometers between towns’, the event expects to gather over 2,100 participants from Spain and Europe.
The route will include stops in towns such as Cuevas del Almanzora (Almería), Peal de Becerro (Jaén), Trevélez (Granada), Arcos de la Frontera (Cádiz), Constantina (Sevilla), Moclinejo (Málaga), Aracena (Huelva), and Espejo (Córdoba). Local motorcycle clubs will collaborate in welcoming participants and managing control points in each location.
The event will conclude in Lucena, at the Lucinve facilities, where participants and their motorcycles will be received. Among this year's novelties are the presentation of a helmet cleaning machine, the launch of the mobile application ‘Rodamos’ for organizing joint routes, and the book ‘Volando contigo’ by Juan Carlos Mata. Proceeds from this book will go to the social project “Volamos Contigo,” which supports individuals with reduced mobility.
During the presentation, the mayor of Lucena, Aurelio Fernández, highlighted the event's significance for the city, stating that it «positions Lucena as a benchmark for motorcycle tourism in Andalusia.» He also noted the rapid sell-out of registrations, underscoring the strong interest the event generates.
