The mayor of Lucena, Aurelio Fernández, and the Councilor for Business Development, María de la O Redondo, accompanied the local furniture sector this Monday during the inauguration of the Valencia Habitat Fair. This event is one of the main professional gatherings related to habitat, design, and interior design. Both officials visited the exhibition spaces of the nine participating Lucena companies, reaffirming the Lucena City Council's support for a sector that is strategic for the local economy.
The participation of the Lucena firms is organized under the brand "Lucena, City of Furniture", occupying a combined area of approximately 750 square meters. This initiative is supported by the municipality through a collaboration agreement with the Association of Furniture and Wood of Lucena (AMALU), funded with 75,000 euros. Companies such as Grupo Seys, Grupo RS Muebles, Creaciones Campoaras, Aludecor de la Subbética, Orbu Bath, P. Espejo, Mármoles Chacón, Bessé, and Resinluc are presenting a diverse and specialized offering in Valencia.
The showcased offerings include furniture, equipment, bathroom items, ceramics, and marble, reflecting the specialization of the local business community. During the opening day, Aurelio Fernández highlighted the competitive capacity of Lucena's companies in the global market and the importance of continuing to support their promotion, internationalization, and innovation.
The mayor also emphasized how this participation helps reinforce Lucena's image as a national benchmark for the furniture industry. The Valencia Habitat Fair runs from September 28 to October 1, bringing together manufacturers, professionals, distributors, designers, and buyers across 112,000 square meters of exhibition space, representing 1,221 brands and expecting around 40,000 attendees.
