The EMACSA Board of Directors has greenlit the Revenue and Expenditure Budget project and the Action, Investment, and Financing Program (PAIF) for the upcoming year. The entity's president, Cintia Bustos, emphasized that this plan aims to "maintain investment efforts to continue renewing and modernizing water cycle infrastructure and advance towards increasingly efficient and digitized management."
The investment plan is structured around five key areas: supply, sanitation and treatment, water measurement and billing, improvement of EMACSA's own facilities, and digital transformation and management systems. Among the most notable actions are the allocation of two million euros for the adaptation and renovation of drinking water facilities, one million for the renewal of supply networks, and 1.5 million for wastewater treatment facilities.
Additionally, €1.5 million will be dedicated to the storm tank at Balcón del Guadalquivir, scheduled for completion in 2027, and €1.2 million for measurement and billing equipment. Digital transformation will receive €1.5 million for the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365, as well as investments in the Unified Control Center and SCADA, telemetry, and GIS systems.

Financial forecasts for 2027 anticipate a business volume of €48.53 million and a positive net result of €879,569. A billable consumption of 20.65 million cubic meters is projected, a 1% increase from the estimated closing for 2026. Funding will come from €6.77 million generated by ordinary activity, €1.74 million in PERTE subsidies, and new financing of €8 million.
The budget project will soon be submitted to the EMACSA General Meeting for final approval.
