The new space, designed to host training activities, professional workshops, and meetings, will be open for use by other municipal groups and entities, although its initial focus is on the tourism sector.
The mayor of Priego de Córdoba, Juan Ramón Valdivia, explained during the inauguration that the room addresses the need for a classroom with a capacity for approximately 60 to 70 people, equipped for conferences and work sessions.
This initiative has been financed through the Destination Tourism Sustainability Plan and is part of the transformation of the Palenque Building, which previously housed the Public Works and Services Department.
In addition to the training room, the building includes a new area for temporary exhibitions, thereby expanding the cultural spaces available in the town and offering a venue for artists, associations, and entities to showcase their work.
Valdivia emphasized the importance of continuing to promote training within the tourism sector, highlighting that the quality of services provided by local businesses is one of the main differentiating factors for Priego de Córdoba as a tourist destination.
