The fair, organized by the City Council of Priego in collaboration with the Provincial Institute for Economic Development (Iprodeco), will bring together companies, professionals, and farmers to showcase the latest innovations in the agricultural sector, with a special focus on olive cultivation.
Félix Romero, delegate for Economic Development of the Provincial Council and president of Iprodeco, emphasized that Priego de Córdoba is an international reference for agriculture and extra virgin olive oil. Agropriego will feature nearly a hundred exhibitors across 14,000 square meters, displaying agricultural and livestock machinery, fertilizers, phytosanitary products, renewable energies, agri-food products, and irrigation solutions.
This year's edition will focus on digitalization, energy efficiency, sustainability, mechanization, and the profitability of olive groves. Romero also stressed the importance of maintaining the Andalusian olive industry as Spanish and, specifically, Andalusian, in light of the potential sale of major brands such as Carbonell, Koipe, Hojiblanca, or Bertoli.
Antonio Navas, first deputy mayor of the City Council of Priego de Córdoba, highlighted that the fair will address crucial topics such as renewable energies and water management, aiming to leverage every advancement to improve the agricultural sector. The goal is for Agropriego to be a dynamic, useful fair that generates economic activity, connecting professionals and companies with the public.
The fair will be structured into various thematic areas, including agricultural and livestock machinery, light machinery and tools, fertilizers and phytosanitary products, renewable energies applied to agriculture, agricultural associations and cooperatives, agri-food products, and other sectors linked to agricultural activity.
