The incident was reported around 3:40 AM when Emergencias 112 Andalucía services received an alert about a fire on the second floor of an apartment building, located on Damián Pérez street in the town of Lucena.
Lucena Firefighters were dispatched to the scene and confirmed that the fire originated in the living room of the residence. Officers from the National Police and Local Police also attended to secure the area.
Medical services, including an ambulance, assessed the affected individual, who had inhaled smoke while trying to control the blaze. Following the initial evaluation, he was transported to Infanta Margarita Hospital in Cabra for specialized medical care.
