The Lucena City Council has presented an initial preview of the 2026 Feria del Valle program. As a pilot experience, the fair will be held from Tuesday, September 8, to Saturday, September 12, a calendar change driven by requests from groups linked to its organization.
The opening day, Tuesday, September 8, will host the Children's Day and the noise-free day, which will run between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. The Department of Festivals, in collaboration with the Department of Youth, is incorporating activities aimed at young audiences, such as a DJ session.
The concert program will kick off on Wednesday, September 9, with a performance by Argentina and her Son Cubano project. On the same day, the traditional gathering organized with the Ulubay collective will take place.
On Thursday, September 10, Mägo de Oz will perform, while on Friday, 11, it will be Kiko Rivera's turn. The main program will conclude on Saturday, 12, with Javi Medina, a musician and composer from Leganés, who will present his artistic proposal and songs from his latest album, El gato negro. Various musical groups will entertain the fairgrounds each afternoon.
The councilor for Festivals, Customs, and Traditions, Araceli Rodríguez, explained that they seek to offer "very different styles so that all citizens can feel identified with their fair." She noted that the recent decision to advance the fair's celebration by one day was made when the concert program was already designed, checking artists' availability.
The budget allocation for concerts at the Caseta Municipal is an initial 90,000 euros, rising to 130,000 euros when including other organizational services and needs. The Lucena City Council will continue working in the coming weeks to finalize the schedules and activities of the definitive program.
