Cañete de las Torres commemorated on October 12th the festivity of the Virgen del Pilar, patron saint of the Civil Guard, with a solemn Holy Mass held at the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción. The day was marked by gratitude and recognition for the work of the agents serving the citizens.
The event was attended by agents of the Civil Guard from Bujalance and Cañete de las Torres, the commanding sergeant of the Bujalance Post, members of the Municipal Corporation, and the second deputy mayor of the Ayuntamiento de Bujalance, María José de la Rosa.
The mayor of Cañete de las Torres, Félix Romero, expressed his recognition and gratitude to the members of the Civil Guard, particularly highlighting their dedication to service, their closeness to residents, and their daily commitment to the safety and well-being of the municipalities.
“"The Civil Guard is not only there when there is a problem. It is there when someone needs help, when a family is going through a difficult time, or when a resident needs to feel protected. That closeness, especially in our towns, is one of the greatest guarantees of tranquility we have."
Furthermore, Félix Romero dedicated words of thanks to the agents' families, valuing the fundamental support they provide to those who carry out this duty.
