The exhibition, located in the Antonio Cañizares “El Perlo” exhibition hall, spans 24 years of history, showcasing images of the young women who were chosen as Queens and Ladies of the Patron Saint Festivals of Iznájar. The aim is to recall not only the protagonists but also an era, celebrations, and a way of experiencing the festivals that forms part of the memory of several generations of Iznájar residents.
This initiative is conceived as a tribute to all the Queens and Ladies who participated in the Festivals during this period, recognizing their role within a tradition deeply linked to the identity and social life of Iznájar.
The exhibition also carries a strong emotional component, allowing those who were protagonists of those celebrations to reconnect with photographs from their youth and share those memories with family, friends, and new generations.
It is planned that the exhibition will be completed next year with a second collection of photographs covering the period from 2003 to the present day.
The inauguration is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, at 8:00 PM in the Antonio Cañizares “El Perlo” hall. The exhibition can be visited until October 4, from Monday to Sunday between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
