The entity, participating for the fourth consecutive year, will have a space at the stand of the Andalusian Conference of Designations of Origin (CADO), located at 1C301. On Monday, September 14th, the DOP will participate in the session ‘Everything you thought you knew about EVOO is only half true’ at the Gusto del Sur Auditorium. Chef Periko Ortega and Francisca García, general secretary of DOP Priego de Córdoba, will discuss the nuances and versatility of extra virgin olive oil in cooking.
On the same day, in Aula Degusta 1, a tasting and paired tasting of olives and EVOOs will be held under the title ‘CADO | From olive to EVOO, a journey through Andalusia and its flavors with Designation of Origin’. Representatives from DOP Priego de Córdoba, Sierra Mágina, and Aceituna Aloreña de Málaga will participate.
Furthermore, on Tuesday, September 15th, the DOP will collaborate in the first semifinal of the I National Contest of Salmorejo Cordobés, providing the extra virgin olive oil used by the participants.
This participation aims to continue promoting the EVOOs from the region and disseminating the culture of olive oil and the oil tourism resources of the four member municipalities.
