The Unified Association of Civil Guards (AUGC) in Córdoba stated this Monday that despite the Spanish Government announcing in December 2024 the commencement of works in 34 barracks in the province, with a total budget of over three million euros, the actual execution has barely reached 15% after more than a year and a half.
According to AUGC's report, notable cases include the provincial headquarters of the Command in the capital, where an investment of over 2.4 million euros has seen real execution close to 15%. Similar situations are observed at the Carcabuey barracks, with only 5% executed of the announced 110,424 euros, and at the Fuente Obejuna facilities, with 117,210 euros allocated and a similarly low execution percentage.
The barracks in Palma del Río, Baena, Posadas, Pozoblanco, Rute, and Dos Torres also show very low execution levels. Furthermore, AUGC laments that in other posts, such as Castro del Río (with 59,861 euros allocated), Moriles (40,212 euros), Cerro Muriano (34,531 euros), Cabra (31,464 euros), and Cardeña (19,716 euros), the announced works have not even begun.
The association also mentions smaller amounts for Bujalance, Aguilar, Adamuz, and Fuente Palmera, where execution is equally scarce or non-existent.
