The project, part of the Integrated Action Plan (PAI) ‘Cabra Crece Contigo’, aims to increase storage capacity and improve the drinking water supply system. The existing reservoir, with 1,500 cubic meters, is insufficient to guarantee supply to the population and expansion areas.
The new reservoir will have a projected capacity of 1,045 cubic meters, divided into two independent tanks. It will be constructed from reinforced concrete with slab foundation and prefabricated alveolar slab roofing.
This infrastructure will meet the supply needs of nearly 3,000 inhabitants in the PAU-R2 residential sector (809 homes) and the 16 hectares of industrial land in the ‘Mantón de Manila’ industrial park.
The new facility will be interconnected with the existing reservoir, allowing them to operate independently or together through automatic valves. It will include radar and float level meters and be integrated into the existing remote control system.
The tender is being processed through a simplified open procedure, with an execution period of six months. Interested companies can submit electronic bids via the Public Sector Procurement Platform until October 8.
The PAI ‘Cabra Crece Contigo’, with a total budget of 10,543,151 euros, received one of the highest scores in Andalusia. This tender reinforces essential infrastructure for water management and the municipality's sustainable growth.
