The mayor, Marino Aguilera, and the councilor for Villages, Works, and Services, Mercedes Flores, have visited the ongoing projects in various villages of the municipality. These works are financed by the Agricultural Employment Promotion Program (PFEA) 2025 and the Provincial Plans of the Provincial Council of Jaén.
In Charilla, the intervention focuses on Plaza street, improving paving and urban infrastructure. The work includes the renovation of sanitation and rainwater and sewage drainage networks with new underground pipelines, the relocation of drains and domestic connections, and the renewal of pavement and sidewalks to create a single platform. The investment amounts to €57,848.44, with plans for continuity in future years.
In Fuente Álamo, works have been carried out on the square of La Torre street, continuing a previous phase where a children's park was installed. The pavement has been completely renewed with prefabricated concrete slabs, new railings and handrails have been installed, and existing tree pits have been enlarged to protect the trees. The pavement of the lower washhouse in the square has also been rehabilitated. This intervention has had an investment of €25,046.09.
In Ribera Alta, improvements are being finalized on the fountain, the washhouse, and the access canopy to the village. Actions include the installation of limestone coverings, new metal grates, painting work, and the adaptation of the adjacent small square to eliminate level differences and improve accessibility. The investment for this action has been €20,011.41.
Finally, in Mures, the progress of the renovation works for the sanitation and supply networks in Cervantes street has been checked. These works, included in the Provincial Plans 2025 of the Provincial Council of Jaén, involve the replacement of old concrete pipes with new U-PVC pipes and the renewal of the drinking water network and its connections. The project has a budget of €11,842.11, jointly financed by the Provincial Council of Jaén and the City Council.
