The competition, which dates back to the 1970s, will be held on Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, on the traditional Las Grajeras road. The official presentation of the event took place at the Alcalá la Real City Council, with the participation of Mayor Marino Aguilera; the Councilor for Sports, Belén Ramírez; and the president of the Motor Club Alcalá, Alberto Rivera.
“"We are facing much more than a sporting event. The Subida a la Mota is part of the heritage of the town of Alcalá la Real."
Mayor Aguilera emphasized the historical and sentimental significance of the event, congratulating the Motor Club for its internal renewal and reaffirming the City Council's commitment to the organization, which also has the support of the Provincial Council.
The main novelty of this edition is its reincorporation into the Andalusian Championship, which elevates its competitive level and expands its regional projection. The competition will unfold over two days: the afternoon of Saturday, May 23, and the morning of Sunday, May 24. The parc fermé and technical verifications will take place at the fairgrounds, aiming to enhance the visibility and presentation of the event for both participants and spectators.
Furthermore, the Motor Club Alcalá has introduced two new competitive categories: the Urban Pro and Citroën AX cups. With these additions, the organization seeks to attract more vehicles and encourage participation, opening the event to a broader range of drivers. Registrations are now open at motorclubalcala.es. Event safety will be ensured by the support of volunteers, Protección Civil, Local Police, Firefighters, and the Guardia Civil.
