A Spanish team has achieved a remarkable victory in the 43rd edition of the Rally Andalucía - Sierra Morena - Córdoba World Heritage, dominating the event from start to finish and outperforming international competitors at the beginning of the European Rally Championship (ERC) season.
The Spanish duo, driving a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, demonstrated undeniable superiority at the Sierra Morena Rally, an event that is part of both the Spanish Rally Superchampionship (S-CER) and the European Rally Championship (ERC). This triumph represents a significant milestone for the team, which had already achieved success in previous editions of the competition.
Second place went to another Spanish team, competing with a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, after a weekend of excellent performance. The podium was completed by a Finnish team, also driving a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, solidifying the strong presence of this model among the top finishers.
The final day was marked by demanding stages, such as the 8.95 kilometers of Obejo and the 27.05 kilometers of Villaviciosa, the latter considered the longest and most challenging of the route. The weather conditions, with intense sun over the province of Córdoba, added an extra challenge for the drivers. During the competition, there were moments of great tension, with risky maneuvers and some minor incidents that did not hinder the progress of the event.

"I feel incredible. All I was thinking about the whole time was my father, my mother, Pablo Marcos, Cándido Carrera, my former co-driver. All those who one day bet on a Spanish driver to compete and win at an international level. We have achieved it and all this is for them."
The winning team had previously triumphed in this rally in 2021 and in the previous edition within the S-CER category, managing this time to overcome all international rivals. This victory allows them to join the select list of Spanish drivers who have managed to win an FIA ERC event.

"It has been a very tough rally, but I am very happy. I have to thank Borja, my whole team. It's incredible, I'm very happy."
