The operation, named 'Blashand', has culminated in the arrest of two individuals and the investigation of five more, allegedly involved in crimes of belonging to a criminal organization, public health offenses for drug trafficking, cultivation and processing of cannabis, and electricity fraud.
The investigation began in May after detecting indications of a group dedicated to the cultivation and distribution of cannabis in the town. Investigations revealed a structured organization with differentiated roles.
In one of the registered properties, used as a drug sales point, 53 grams of cocaine, cash, bladed weapons, precision scales, and accounting documentation were seized. The second property housed the indoor cultivation with 737 marijuana plants and cultivation equipment.
The electrical installation for the cultivation was illegally connected to the grid, resulting in an estimated fraud exceeding 20,000 euros for unbilled consumption.
The proceedings, along with the arrested and investigated individuals and seized items, have been handed over to the competent judicial authority.
