The weekend in Linares has been filled with deep devotion and deeply rooted pilgrimage traditions, with the main events of two of its most revered brotherhoods taking place. The brotherhoods of Nuestra Señora del Rocío and Santísima Virgen de la Cabeza have held their respective proclamations and the presentation of their announcing posters, signaling the beginning of preparations for the pilgrimages of the coming year, 2026.
The day dedicated to the Blanca Paloma was marked by the Rociero Proclamation, delivered this year by a speaker whose words moved the attendees. During this event, the poster for the 2026 Pilgrimage, an artistic creation by a renowned local painter, was also unveiled. Meanwhile, the brotherhood of «La Morenita» celebrated its XXX Romero and Mariano Proclamation, a significant event as it reached three decades of existence, which included an emotional speech and the official presentation of its poster, created by another local artist.
Both celebrations received significant institutional support, led by the mayor of Linares, who, along with other members of the municipal corporation, accompanied the brotherhoods during these crucial moments for the social and religious life of the town. With these events, Linares reinforces its Marian identity and prepares to intensely experience the upcoming days of coexistence and faith that define the pilgrimage spirit of the province.
