The Linares council responded to Renfe's request to provide food and drinks to the passengers of the Huércal Vega-Madrid Chamartín train, which experienced a breakdown during its journey. The travelers remained inside the train for over three hours after it stopped at 5:28 PM.
The incident necessitated Renfe deploying a rescue locomotive, causing a significant delay. During the wait, passengers had air conditioning and received water and sandwiches both inside the train and later at the Linares-Baeza Station.
The Linares City Council announced the assistance provided through its social media channels, highlighting the support offered to those affected by the railway incident.
