Futsal will once again take center stage in Linares with the revival of the classic 35 Hours of Futsal. The City Council has announced that this emblematic traditional competition will take place from June 26 to 28, bringing back a highly anticipated event for fans.
This tournament, which for years gathered numerous players and supporters, is being reinstated to revitalize the municipal sports offerings. The Councilor for Sports, Martín de la Torre, emphasized the importance of reviving traditional events that encourage citizen participation and community spirit.
The 35 Hours of Futsal will succeed the recent 40th edition of the Mayoress's Trophy. The top-ranked teams from the latter competition will have the option to participate at no additional cost, although the organization has also opened registrations to new teams.
The competition will feature a format including a preliminary and a final phase, aiming to recapture the essence of a tournament that was once a benchmark for amateur futsal in the province. It is expected to bring together dozens of teams and fans over three days for this sport with a strong tradition in Linares.
