Sources familiar with the investigation have confirmed the arrest of four members of the Narcotics Unit in Linares. The ongoing operation aims to determine if the arrested officers allegedly collaborated with the 'Los Pikikis' clan, a long-standing family group involved in drug trafficking across the province of Jaén, by providing sensitive information about police operations.
This action is part of operation 'Irak', which recently led to the seizure of 1.8 kilograms of heroin, valued at 270,000 euros on the illicit market, during a police checkpoint of a rental car leaving Linares towards Úbeda. The Deputy Government Delegate in Jaén, Manuel Fernández, described the seizure as the "largest confiscation of this substance in the province of Jaén", highlighting its danger.
According to investigators, the seized drugs were destined for a family clan based in Úbeda, known as 'Los Pikikis', which also has ties and properties in Linares. Heroin is suspected to have originated from the province of Seville.
The 'Los Pikikis' clan has been implicated in other anti-drug operations in the province, including one in the Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park. In that operation, homes in Úbeda, Arroyo Frío, and La Iruela were searched, resulting in the arrest of 13 individuals. The joint investigation between the Judicial Police of Úbeda and the Customs Surveillance Service (DAVA) focused on drug dealing points operated by clan members.
During the searches in the natural park, various quantities of cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and hashish were seized, along with methadone pills and cutting agents. Prohibited weapons such as Taser guns, handgun cartridges, vehicles, scooters, precision scales, mobile phones, computers, documentation, and cash were also confiscated.
