The sports landscape of Linares expands with the creation of CD Indea Linares, a new entity established to consolidate a social and sporting project in the municipality. The initiative seeks to increase the poly-sport offering and facilitate access to physical exercise for people of all ages and conditions.
Although the club will progressively integrate sections for mountain sports, swimming, and football, its foundational activity will center on athletics. The entity is already officially registered with the Andalusian Athletics Federation, allowing its athletes to participate in official regional competitions.
A fundamental pillar of CD Indea Linares is its commitment to inclusive and adapted sports. The club declares itself a safe and respectful space, open to athletes with functional diversity. Registration is open from the children's category to veterans, with a quarterly fee of 20 euros to facilitate access. The entity also guarantees an inclusive environment for all gender identities and sexual orientations.
The delegation's coaches will hold official qualifications. The board will be led by Francisco Javier Gutiérrez Trujillo as president, assisted by Juan Carlos Carrasco López (vice-president), Antonio Villalba Torres (secretary), and Antonio Sánchez Benítez (treasurer). Carlos Hugo García Morales will serve as the communications manager.
Training sessions will take place at the Mariano de la Paz Facilities. During the period from May 15 to September 15, 2026, sessions will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM. From September 16, 2026, to May 14, 2027, practices will move to Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The board of directors has extended an invitation to all residents of Linares to join this project that combines youth development, health, and a passion for athletics.
