The event, organized by the Real Club Náutico de El Puerto de Santa María, brought together 13 boats divided into the ORC and Reduced Crew classes. The day was marked by a westerly wind that progressively increased from 5 to 12 knots, allowing for the completion of a 7-mile coastal course in just over an hour.
The 'Mar Amigo Sail Racing', a Swan 42, demonstrated its dominance by being the first to cross the finish line. After time compensation, Basilio Marquínez's boat confirmed its triumph with a lead of almost three minutes over the Corel 45 'Sirius', from the Naval Racing Commission of Cadiz.
In the ORC B category, the Dufour 40 'UMA' from the Puerto Sherry Nautical Club took the win, while in the overall ORC standings, third place went to the Dufour 40 'UMA', followed by the Grand Soleil 37 'Pillaban' and the Dufour 34 'Thyra II'.
In the Reduced Crew class, victory went to the Brenta 24 'Estero Blanco', representing the Real Club Náutico de El Puerto de Santa María. It was followed by 'Buzz Light Year' and the Mustang 30 'Madrugada'.
Following the competition, the crews shared a seafood meal and attended the trophy ceremony, an event that combines sporting and social aspects, now a consolidated fixture on the Andalusian sailing calendar.
