“"One of the most significant moments of the trip occurred during the official reception hosted by the Concello for the invited groups. At this event, representatives of the Speculatores Augusti presented the Mayoress of Lugo with an institutional gift: a reproduction of the emblematic Mosaico de los Amores de Cástulo. This piece, created by local Linares artisan Mari Trini Cañizares, is one of the most representative elements of Linares's historical heritage."

The historical reenactment association Speculatores Augusti Coh Prae de Cástulo participated in Lugo in the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Arde Lvcvs, representing Linares and the archaeological site of Cástulo.
Between June 19th and 21st, the delegation from Linares attended the event in Lugo following an official invitation from the Concello of Lugo. Participation in Arde Lvcvs, declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest, is a national benchmark in the dissemination of Roman history.
Association members actively took part in the troop parade, the traditional torchlight procession honoring fallen Praetorians, and the assault on Monte Medulio, integrated with the Praetorian Guard of Lugo. This collaboration underscores the strong relationship between the two groups and the exchange of experiences in historical reenactment.
During the event, the association also took the opportunity to highlight the historical and heritage richness of Linares, the archaeological significance of Cástulo, and the uniqueness of the Ibero-Roman Festivals, inviting attendees to visit the city.
The presence at Arde Lvcvs solidifies the Speculatores Augusti as a collective with significant external projection, promoting the tourism, culture, and history of Linares. They recently participated in historical reenactment events in Marchena and are preparing for their next outing at the Astures y Romanos festivals in Astorga.
