To mark the celebration of the Pilgrimage of the Virgen de Zocueca, the Local Police of Bailén implemented a special security and traffic regulation operation. The main objective was to ensure citizen and road safety, facilitate the development of scheduled activities, and address any incidents that arose.
According to data recorded by the Local Police Headquarters, 32 citizen alerts were logged during the analyzed period, averaging 16 daily. The Headquarters' own interventions totaled 42 actions over two days, averaging 21 per day.
The most notable operations focused on traffic, with 16 interventions related to regulation, accidents, road closures, and controls. In terms of citizen security, 9 interventions were recorded, including two collaborations with the Civil Guard, private disputes, and a vehicle theft.
Additionally, 8 Administrative Police actions were carried out, addressing public space incidents, coexistence reports, animal-related issues, complaint forms, and noise disturbances. Assistance services were also provided, such as handling lost property, addressing disruptive individuals, and aiding an injured person.
In the traffic domain, officers intervened in three accidents, managed road closures, regulated entry and exit points for educational centers, and controlled traffic flow. Vehicle impoundments and deposits due to administrative infractions were also recorded.
The Local Police Headquarters of Bailén positively assessed the officers' work, acknowledging the special planning, police presence, and traffic regulation efforts required for a celebration that attracts a significant number of people and vehicles.
