The Bailén City Council has handed over the proceeds from a new edition of the ‘Fun and Refreshing Nights’ to the various Associations of Mothers and Fathers of Students (AMPAS) from the locality's educational centers. This initiative has combined leisure, coexistence, and solidarity throughout the summer.
The mayor of Bailén, Luis Mariano Camacho, along with the Councilor for Culture, María Teresa Risueño, and José Criado, manager of the company Hermanos Criado, participated in the ceremony to deliver the funds to the representatives of the beneficiary associations. The public's response and the involvement of all collectives were highlighted.
Camacho emphasized that the proceeds will allow the AMPAS to continue promoting activities and projects for the educational community. He thanked the participation of residents who, by attending the events at the Municipal Pool, directly contributed to this solidarity goal. 'Every ticket, every family, and every person who participated has contributed their bit to support our educational centers and, especially, our children and young people,' he stated.
The collaboration of Hermanos Criado, the company that supported the initiative, was acknowledged, stressing the importance of cooperation between the City Council, businesses, collectives, and citizens for implementing activities that directly benefit Bailén.
The Councilor for Culture, María Teresa Risueño, described the handover as 'the culmination of an initiative that has allowed us to enjoy summer nights at our Municipal Pool and, at the same time, collaborate with the AMPAS of Bailén'.
The collected funds correspond to the events held in June, July, and August, with a solidarity entrance fee of 3 euros. The proceeds have been allocated to the AMPAS of C.P. General Castaños, C.P. El Castillo, Colegio Sagrado Corazón, C.P. 19 de Julio, C.P. Nuestra Señora de Zocueca, C.P. Pedro Corchado, I.E.S. Medina Rivilla, I.E.S. María Bellido, and the Conservatorio ‘Reina Sofía’.
Risueño stated that 'the most important aspect of this activity is that the resources obtained return directly to our educational community and allow the AMPAS to continue developing educational, cultural, and coexistence activities'.
The City Council highlighted that the ‘Fun and Refreshing Nights’ have become a consolidated event in Bailén's summer calendar, thanks to a formula that combines family leisure, coexistence, and support for associative fabric.
Camacho affirmed that 'when we manage for an activity designed for summer enjoyment to also become direct aid for our collectives, we are achieving the true objective of this initiative'.
Finally, Camacho and Risueño thanked all participants for their involvement and expressed their hope that the ‘Fun and Refreshing Nights’ will continue to grow in future editions, maintaining their essence of enjoying together and making solidarity a part of life in Bailén.
