The territorial delegate for Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, Soledad Aranda, has overseen the works being carried out by the public company Tragsa on these roads. These actions are part of the Itínere Rural Plan, an initiative aimed at the rehabilitation and improvement of the rural road network in the region.
In Torres de Albanchez, the 'Cortijo-Nuevo Límite' road is undergoing a comprehensive repair along its 1,900 meters. The project addresses existing deficiencies in the pavement, gullies, and damage, as well as optimizing the drainage system and ditches. Currently, Tragsa is carrying out clearing of the verges, scarifying, watering, and compacting the existing pavement, in addition to reinforcing the base layer.
Drainage works in this section include the construction of transverse speed bumps, the reconstruction of pipes, the installation of concrete ditches, and ditch-saving speed bumps to ensure proper water evacuation. Simultaneously, in Villarrodrigo, interventions on the 'El Tobar-Carrizal' rural road aim to solve problems arising from inefficient rainwater management.
On this latter road, the company is reinforcing the pavement, paving and ripping a section, and constructing two sections of concrete pavement. Regarding drainage, the project contemplates the construction of speed bumps and the excavation of ditches, complemented by the execution of a retaining riprap and other ripraps at the exits of the transverse speed bumps.
