The event, organized by the Provincial Council of Huelva, aims to promote a shift towards more traceable, circular, and responsible fashion models, moving away from fast consumption and disposability.
For two days, the Sierra de Aracena Theater will be the meeting point for figures such as Gema Gómez (Slow Fashion Next), Paloma García (The Circular Project), Sylvia Calvo (designer expert in circular economy), and Maitane Roldán (Fashion Revolution Spain), among others.
The program also includes the participation of creators and projects applying sustainability in concrete processes, such as Mariola Marcet (Upcyclick), Isabel Díaz Rosado (IS), Marcela Vásquez (Taller Calquin), Almudena Cerezo (Materia Botánica), Charlotte Houman (Extremerinas), Sete Buenavista (Esencia Natural), Lorenzo Oliveiro (Canaturex), Javier Mojarro (fashion designer), and Isabel Alfonso and Pastora López (Imagen Personal).
Additionally, the experience of entities like Koopera and Traperos de Emaús Huelva, as well as divulgation and conscious consumption projects like A Regenerar and Consumo Gusto, will be featured, addressing the fashion value chain from multiple perspectives.
“"Huelva has the capacity to activate new opportunities through culture, creativity, and commitment to the territory."
“"The change does not belong only to big urban centers or grand speeches. There are already people and projects working from practice, from materials, from reuse, from education, and from the territory."
EMERGE is conceived as a working and meeting space to foster community, activate alliances, and position Huelva as a territory driving cultural and sustainable innovation.
The conference will address key topics such as ethical education, circularity, traceability, regenerative economy, natural pigments, plant-based dyeing processes, and new opportunities in rural territories.
