The Junta de Andalucía, through the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Rural Development, has begun rehabilitation works on the Pozo la Canaca rural road, located in Pozo Alcón, Jaén. These actions are part of the Plan Andalucía Actúa and aim to repair the damage caused by the storm season earlier this year.
Delegate Soledad Aranda visited the works and highlighted the importance of these infrastructures for the municipalities. "Town halls and the agricultural sector once again have the Junta as their greatest ally," she stated, emphasizing the work being done to restore accessibility, improve road safety, and support local administrations by covering the full investment.
The work on the rural road in Pozo Alcón involves clearing adjacent vegetation, profiling the roadbed, removing erosion, gullies, and stones from the path, as well as profiling access to adjacent farms.
The intervention also includes the execution of horizontal drainage works for water runoff, the replacement of a damaged irrigation pipe, and the restoration of the damaged surface.
Aranda stressed that these actions, along with those carried out on other rural roads under the Plan Andalucía Actúa, "will improve safety conditions for agricultural vehicles and regular road users, optimize surface drainage, and ensure greater durability of these infrastructures."
