Nature lovers and families have an appointment in Cazorla this summer. The Guadalentín Lammergeier Breeding Center, located near the Borosa river, offers guided tours on weekends until September 20th. These sessions allow visitors to get up close with specimens of this species, such as 'Rin-Ran' or 'Andalucía', and learn about its current situation and ecological and biological impact.
The activity, promoted by Ecoturismo Andaluz, a project of the Junta de Andalucía, will take place in the morning (10:30 AM) and afternoon (4:30 PM) on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The visit lasts two and a half hours.
The price is 15 euros per person, with a reduced rate of 10 euros for young people between 7 and 16 years old. Places are limited and can be booked on the Ecoturismo Andaluz website until they are sold out. For more information, a contact phone number has been provided: 669 59 19 65.
The breeding center is a global leader, noted for being the one that successfully raises the most lammergeier chicks annually. Visitors will be able to observe the daily handling of these large birds of prey by the keepers, a highly anticipated moment of the tour through the fauna of the park.
