Yesterday morning saw the placement of a fundamental piece on the A-372 road, specifically in the El Boyar section, which has been closed since last February. This concrete structure, designed for water passage, is vital for the continuity of emergency works being carried out on this road after the impact of recent storms.

The complexity of this vault, which does not follow standard sizes or shapes, required an eight-week curing process, which has influenced the pace of adapting access roads to Grazalema. This point will also serve as access for the future El Tinte bridge, another infrastructure damaged by adverse weather conditions.

During a technical visit to the area, representatives from the Junta de Andalucía and the mayor of Grazalema, along with the technical team, supervised the progress of the works. The importance of this road for the connectivity of the Sierra de Cádiz was highlighted, and the evolution of the interventions was verified, including slope stabilization, construction of retaining walls, reconstruction of the drainage system, road surface repair, and the installation of new safety barriers and signage.

These actions respond to the severe damage caused by the storms, which demanded an urgent and coordinated response to ensure road safety. Four specialized companies are working at 26 different points along the affected section, underscoring the magnitude of the operation deployed to restore normality to the road.

The reopening of the A-372 will occur once the safety of the infrastructure is guaranteed, according to official sources who met with the Union of Entrepreneurs of Grazalema, who have expressed their concern about the condition of local roads.
