The message was delivered during the celebration of the Day of the Rose in Alcalá del Valle, an event attended by the provincial leadership of the party and key candidates. The formation seeks to halt the advance of the right and far-right in the region.
During the event, the provincial leadership of the PSOE focused on the critical situation of the Andalusian healthcare system, denouncing the collapse of the Andalusian Health Service (SAS). The breast cancer screening case was highlighted as a serious example of deficiencies, noting that nearly two million Andalusian women are in a state of uncertainty.
“"It's not 2,000 or 3,000; it's almost two million Andalusian women plunged into uncertainty due to the collapse of the SAS."
The socialist leadership linked this situation to a model that, in their view, benefits private clinics, and defended the need for political change in the Junta de Andalucía. In this regard, support was requested for a prominent party figure to lead a new regional government, which is seen as an opportunity to “restore the dignity of institutions.”
For her part, one of the candidates emphasized the importance of electoral participation against the “conformism” that, she noted, the current Andalusian Executive tries to convey. The campaign spokesperson criticized the loss of resources in public education, mentioning the suppression of 3,300 classrooms, and also the situation of dependency, recalling that thousands of people die each year without receiving requested aid.
In the territorial sphere, the party leadership denounced the abandonment of the Sierra de Cádiz, pointing out that, three months after the storms, roads are still unrepaired. The lack of response from the Junta was criticized, contrasting this situation with the announcement of investments committed by the PSOE.
The day concluded with a call to the party's historical memory and to voter mobilization, with the aim of repeating electoral results that allow for a change of government in Andalucía.
