A representative from the PSOE of Cádiz has condemned the "disastrous management" of infrastructure by the Junta de Andalucía, stating that the province currently has fifteen roads in poor condition, impassable, or with serious deficiencies. This situation has led to significant isolation in several areas, particularly in the Sierra de Cádiz.
Given this problem, the provincial leadership of the party has announced its full support for the demonstration called in Grazalema. The protest aims to demand that the Junta de Andalucía fulfill the investments promised after the storm that affected the region three months ago.
“"We currently have 15 roads that are impassable or have very serious problems, most of them in the Sierra de Cádiz."
The party has lamented that the Popular Party (PP) government has failed to offer real solutions in the three months since the storm. They recalled the visit of regional officials after the rains, where quick solutions were promised but, according to the party, have not materialized.
The socialist group has highlighted the severe economic and personal damage suffered by residents of the Sierra and the rural area of Jerez due to this situation. They have urged the Junta to demonstrate its management capacity and to move beyond what they consider "empty slogans."
“"We ask Moreno Bonilla to stop posing for photos and marketing and to manage things once and for all."
The party has warned that it will continue to denounce the "state of abandonment" of regionally owned roads and will escalate this demand to all necessary institutions to reverse what they perceive as "sectarianism" in the PP's management in the province. An immediate shock plan has been proposed to reopen communications and ensure the safety of Cádiz citizens.
