More than 60 people have been evacuated as a precaution, including guests at the Hotel Fuerte de Grazalema and residents of the rural areas of Los Alamillos, Terrajos, and Las Veguetad. The El Olivar Sports Center has been set up to provide shelter for those displaced.
The operation involves twelve aerial units and over 70 ground personnel, including forest firefighters, operations technicians, and medical units. The smoke plume is visible from nearby towns such as Zahara de la Sierra, El Gastor, and Ronda, causing significant concern in the region.
