The political party Adelante Andalucía has highlighted the deficiencies in public transport in the Sierra de Cádiz region, particularly in Arcos de la Frontera, and has presented an ambitious plan to improve railway connectivity in the area.
During a visit to Arcos de la Frontera, representatives from Adelante Andalucía met with residents to address the transport challenges they face. Complaints focused on the poor condition of roads, the elimination of bus routes that have not been reinstated since the pandemic, and the lack of railway connections in the Sierra de Grazalema.

"I have seen Mr. Moreno Bonilla very concerned that tourists could not come to certain parts of Andalusia. Well, I am also concerned, but I am also concerned that residents can move: that people can go to work, go to hospitals, go to study."
In response to this situation, the party has proposed an urgent action plan that includes strengthening bus routes and investing in road infrastructure improvements. It was noted that road deterioration is a key factor in traffic closures during storms, highlighting the need for maintenance.
Furthermore, Adelante Andalucía has promoted the “Plan 20.000”, an initiative aimed at establishing commuter and medium-distance railway connections between all Andalusian municipalities with a population exceeding 20,000 inhabitants. It was emphasized that several towns in the sierra, including Arcos de la Frontera, would benefit from this proposal, which could include a connection to Jerez.

"And I believe the left has much to learn from that, to listen more to people, and that is what we are also trying to do in this campaign. To propose, to criticize, but also to listen to people."
The party's campaign has been characterized by an approach that prioritizes active listening to citizens, combining the presentation of proposals and criticisms with attention to the needs and concerns of residents.
