The incident occurred at 7:16 AM when the victim was at the Rugby roundabout, waiting for a private car to pick her up. As she was about to enter the vehicle, a Consortium of Transport bus collided with it from behind, leading to the fatal outcome.
As a result of the accident, traffic in the San Jerónimo area was affected for several hours. Local authorities have launched an investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of the pedestrian strike.
