The corporation from the San Basilio neighborhood, which has held its solemn triduum at the church of Our Lady of Peace, will conclude its religious services with the main function at 12:30 PM. Subsequently, the procession will commence at 8:00 PM.
The image of the Virgen de Acá, known for its gentleness and expressive delicacy, will be musically accompanied by the Tubamirum Band from Cañete de las Torres. The Transit brotherhood will maintain the usual route from recent years.
The procession will depart from the Church of San Basilio, passing through streets such as Plaza de San Basilio, Enmedio, Caballerizas Reales, Amador de los Ríos, Corregidor Luis de la Cerda, Magistral González Francés, and Puerta Santa Catalina, to reach the Holy Cathedral Church through the Patio de los Naranjos. After visiting the first temple of the diocese, the image will return to its parish via the same itinerary.
The brotherhood highlights the beauty of its titular image, an 18th-century sculpture that has undergone three restorations, the last in 2013 by Antonio Bernal. The Virgen de Acá is one of the most deeply rooted 'letíficas' devotions in the city, representing the sleeping Virgin.
Following this procession, the next significant event for Cordoba's brotherhoods will be the procession of Our Lady Fuensanta Coronada on September 7th.
