The municipal subsidy will be allocated to the rental and maintenance expenses of the peña's social premises, located at calle Paciano del Barco 2. The agreement was signed by the city's mayor, José María Román, and the peña's secretary, Manuel Rodríguez Pérez, in an event also attended by the delegate for Festivals, Fede Díaz.
Mayor Román praised the peña's year-round work, highlighting activities such as the Noche de los Capachas and the Noche de las Chirigotas Callejeras, which energize the city. He emphasized the importance of adapting to the times and carrying out activities that benefit the economic sector, especially hospitality, an area where the Peña Perico Alcántara has successfully adapted.
For his part, Manuel Rodríguez Pérez, representing the peña's president, thanked the City Council for its efforts. He explained that the objective is to promote the Carnival of Chiclana throughout the year, supporting groups for their rehearsals and planning to participate again with the group Pazocalle. He highlighted the City Council's commitment to the local social fabric.
