Seville's April Fair is set to transform the Real into a vibrant stage of tradition and color. Among the most sought-after and representative experiences, the horse-drawn carriage ride stands as an essential activity, valued both for its symbolism and the unique opportunity to tour the fairgrounds.
During the fair days, the well-known Horse and Carriage Parade sets the pace for daytime activities, circulating through the fairground streets between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM. This classic scene is a fundamental part of the fair's identity, with equestrian traffic ceasing after this time to allow for pedestrian use of the space.
The horse-drawn carriage ride has become a popular option for those wishing to experience the fair fully. Fares are officially regulated and agreed upon between the Seville City Council and the coachmen's sector, aiming to ensure a uniform and safe service. For the April Fair of 2026, the established price is 95 euros per hour, applicable both within the fairgrounds and if contracted from the official stop.
The official horse-drawn carriage stop is strategically located next to the Fair's Main Gate (Portada de la Feria), a central and recognizable point of the Real. From there, numerous routes depart, allowing users to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere while exploring the various streets of the fairgrounds.
“"The horse-drawn carriage ride is not only a means of transport within the Real, but also a cultural experience deeply linked to the city's history, which continues to be one of the great attractions of Seville's big week."
