The emblematic bullring in Seville transformed for a day into a gathering place for fans, where both children and adults could get closer to the world of bullfighting. The initiative allowed attendees to step onto the sandy arena and familiarize themselves with the essential elements of the bullfight.
During the activity, participants had the chance to handle capes (capotes) and muletas, as well as interact with wheeled bull dummies (carretones) and banderillas. They were even allowed to mount the picador's horse, under the supervision of professionals from Eduardo Dávila Miura's team, who guided the enthusiasts through the various stages of bullfighting.
“"I was excited to present the suits because it's a memory I have from childhood; seeing the bullfighting suits always caught my attention, and I wanted the children who came here to see them too."
Matador Juan Ortega was one of the central figures of the event, spending the afternoon signing photographs in the center of the arena. He was accompanied by several bullfighting suits and a ceremonial cape (capote de paseo) that he plans to debut at the upcoming Feria de Abril. The presence of the bullfighter from Triana generated long queues, extending even outside the venue, demonstrating significant public interest.
The event attracted not only fans from Seville but also from other parts of Andalusia and various countries, solidifying the Maestranza as a benchmark for bullfighting culture.
