The initiative aims to increase the total number of play areas by more than 10%, growing from the current 364 to a total of 402 spaces distributed across the city's districts. The project includes the construction of 38 new zones, 13 of which have already been completed, with 25 more currently in the bidding process.
As a centerpiece of this strategy, the first phase of the Children's City (Ciudad de los Niños) has been inaugurated at the Prado de San Sebastián. This new space, which involved an investment of nearly one million euros, stands out for its thematic design inspired by iconic elements of the Andalusian capital, such as the historic Fair Footbridge (Pasarela de la Feria).
In addition to creating new areas, the municipal plan includes cross-cutting actions focused on renovating safety flooring in 29 existing parks and installing shading elements in 15 locations. These improvements aim to ensure greater accessibility, inclusion, and comfort for families in Seville.

This action is part of a broader 25.9 million euro strategy aimed at recovering public spaces and green areas, which will soon include interventions in the American Garden, the Snow White Garden, and the Plaza de América, as well as new green zones in Palmas Altas and La Algodonera.
