Following a period of showers and cool temperatures, the meteorological situation in Andalusia is poised for a radical change. A subtropical ridge, described as an 'anticyclonic crest,' will settle over the peninsula, promising thermal values akin to those in June.
On Monday, April 13, temperatures in Seville province will hit their lowest, with highs of 22ºC in the capital and 19ºC in Morón de la Frontera. However, starting Tuesday, April 14, a gradual ascent will begin. Minimum temperatures will remain between 7ºC and 10ºC, while maximums will rebound to 25ºC in the Sevillian capital.
“"Starting tomorrow, the most notable aspect will be a significant rise in daytime temperatures."
By Wednesday, April 15, stability will solidify, pushing temperatures to 28ºC in Seville, 27ºC in Lebrija, and 26ºC in Écija. The influence of this anticyclonic crest will ensure stable weather and a steady increase in daytime values, potentially reaching late-spring levels, especially from Friday onwards.
Throughout the rest of the week, temperatures are expected to exceed 30ºC in several locations in the Guadalquivir Valley. On Thursday, April 16, maximums could reach 31ºC in Seville and 30ºC in Burguillos, with minimums between 10ºC and 13ºC. Although skies will remain mostly clear, Meteored warns of possible thunderstorms in mountainous areas between Friday and Sunday, a typical spring phenomenon.
The anticyclonic trend will extend into Seville's April Fair week. Pescaíto Monday, April 20, is forecast to have clear skies in the afternoon, a minimum of 16ºC, and a maximum of 31ºC. The night will be warm, with 25ºC at midnight. Fair Tuesday will follow a similar pattern, with temperatures up to 32ºC. For Wednesday, April 22, a holiday in Seville, overcast skies are expected, though without rain, and thermometers will again surpass 30ºC in the afternoon, solidifying good weather throughout the festive week.
