The event, organized by the Real Club de Enganches de Andalucía in collaboration with the Seville City Council, was a great success with a significant public turnout. The day unfolded in a festive atmosphere, with spectators filling streets and squares to enjoy this equestrian spectacle, part of the Seville, World Carriage Driving Capital project.
From early morning, participants began the presentation trial in the emblematic Plaza de España. Subsequently, the competition continued with a maneuverability test in the Prado de San Sebastián and a route through the María Luisa Park and the city's historic center, delighting both residents and tourists.
In total, 54 carriages participated, with 51 competing in the amateur category and 3 in the professional. Drivers came from countries such as Portugal and Italy, as well as various Spanish provinces, including Seville, Huelva, Cádiz, Málaga, Córdoba, Madrid, and Girona.
The competition gathered 145 horses, of which 101 were Pure Spanish Breed, in addition to 9 ponies. A wide variety of breeds was observed, including CDE, French trotters, and Lusitanos. Regarding harnesses, English style predominated (46), along with 6 caleseras and 1 catalana, covering various modalities such as limoneras, troncos, tandems, and potencias.
The participation of young drivers, with 4 minors, and 4 female drivers, highlighted the growing interest and generational renewal in this discipline. The day concluded with the trophy ceremony in the Plaza de España, reaffirming Seville as an international benchmark in traditional carriage driving.
