This coming Saturday, April 18, the Estadio Olímpico de la Cartuja in Sevilla will host the Copa del Rey Final for men's football. The teams vying for the title are Atlético de Madrid and Real Sociedad, in a match scheduled to kick off at 9:00 PM.
In anticipation of thousands of supporters, fan zones for both clubs have already been designated. Atlético de Madrid fans will gather in the Las Moreras car park, next to Parque del Alamillo, while Real Sociedad supporters will have their space on Carlos III Avenue, near the La Cartuja stop.
Given the event's timing, many fans, especially those from Madrid and San Sebastián, are expected to seek out dining options around the stadium before heading to Isla de la Cartuja. This area, which was developed 34 years ago for Expo'92, is just minutes away from several gastronomic hotspots in the Andalusian capital.
Among the recommended spots are Casa Vizcaíno, on Feria Street, known for its lively atmosphere and seasonal snails. Casa Ricardo, on Hernán Cortés Street, is famous for its croquettes, whisky sirloin, and flamenquín. For a more avant-garde proposal, Lola por Dios in Alameda de Hércules offers innovative dishes that maintain Andalusian essence, such as its chicken salad or hamburger.
In the Triana neighborhood, Las Golondrinas, on Pagés del Corro Street, is a popular choice for traditional tapas, featuring stuffed mushrooms and Iberian pork cheek. Finally, Casa Ruperto is renowned throughout Sevilla for its "fried little birds" (quails), also offering pringá and seasonal snails and cabrillas.
