The friendly match will take place at 4:00 PM at the Cracovii im. Józefa Piłsudskiego stadium, which has a capacity of approximately 15,000 spectators. This game commemorates the 120th anniversary of the Polish club and serves to reciprocate a historic visit made by KS Cracovia to Seville in 1923.
KS Cracovia, despite finishing thirteenth in the last Polish league season, is a club with a rich tradition. They have won five national championships, the last in 1948, and secured their first Polish Cup in 2020.
The duel will have a significant historical character, serving to return the visit that the Polish team made to Seville 103 years ago.
In 1923, KS Cracovia played two friendlies against Sevilla FC at the old Campo de la Reina Victoria. The first match, on October 6th, ended with a 3-0 victory for Sevilla. The following day, the Polish team won 2-3 in a game where Spencer scored both of Sevilla's goals.
Sevilla is no stranger to playing in Krakow recently. In September 2006, they faced Wisla Krakow in a friendly. Officially, the Andalusian team played in Poland in 2013 against Slask Wroclaw in the Europa League, and in 2015, they won the same competition's final in Warsaw against FC Dnipro.
