The event took place on Luis Uruñuela Avenue, near the Cercanías commuter train stop, when the tram-bus driver was forced to perform an abrupt maneuver. This action was necessary to swerve away from a private vehicle that reportedly ran a red light, according to municipal sources.
The sudden stop caused several travelers to lose their balance and fall inside the public transport vehicle. Despite the incident, all affected individuals remained conscious and their condition was not serious, with no need for transfer to a hospital.
The 112 Emergency Service received two alerts around 12:15 PM reporting people falling inside the bus and the possible presence of several injured individuals. Immediately, local police officers and 061 health personnel were dispatched to the scene to attend to the passengers. The TB1 line service was not interrupted and continued operating normally after the incident.
Authorities have launched an investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of the event, which points to a traffic infraction by the car involved as the main cause.
