In a joint operation between the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Pilas, a center dedicated to the production and distribution of drugs has been dismantled. The investigation, named Operation Matarase, began after receiving information about illicit activities in a property in the Sevillian town.
The investigation identified an individual, a resident of Seville, who used the property as a base for cultivating and storing narcotic substances. During the search of the premises, officers discovered an indoor cannabis plantation and proceeded to arrest the suspect.
During the intervention, 8 kilograms of cannabis buds, prepared for sale in individual doses, and 384 grams of rock amphetamine were seized, along with various equipment for drug cultivation and processing.
In addition to the drugs, two precious stones were found in a safe: an emerald and a ruby. Both gems, valued at over 3,000 euros each, are presumed to be from previous criminal activities, as the detainee could not account for their origin.
The operation concluded with the arrested individual being handed over to judicial authority, facing charges for crimes against public health related to drug trafficking, and for electrical fraud.
