This Friday, numerous teachers awaiting their assignments in Andalusia have reported delays and perceived failures on the Junta de Andalucía website. Aspirants have inquired on forums about the status of the destination assignments, which were expected to be resolved today.
However, the Consejería de Educación (Ministry of Education) has communicated that the assignments for all teaching bodies, including secondary education professors, have been completed as planned. The same source indicated that efforts are underway to publish the remaining destinations during the course of today.
In response to complaints about website failures, the ministry acknowledges the possibility of "a few isolated peaks of high traffic" that may have slowed down the service, but clarifies that "the page did not crash."
The process for choosing destinations for the 2026-2027 academic year, which closed weeks ago, allowed interim teaching staff to request preferences. The call specified that if at least two provinces were not submitted, the Administration would assign all eight provinces alphabetically. The Junta de Andalucía assures that the publication of assigned destinations will be completed today.
