“"From the PSOE, we asked for details on how it is possible that with money from the Córdoba City Council, artists are paid to perform in Seville, and the explanation given was that, in order to support the promotion of the winners of the National Flamenco Art Contest of Córdoba, it was proposed that these artists perform at the Teatro Central de Sevilla with a budget of 10,000 euros plus VAT."

The Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) has expressed its disagreement with the proposal by the Municipal Institute of Scenic Arts (IMAE) of Córdoba to allocate municipal funds for a performance at the Teatro Central de Sevilla.
The socialist councilor in the Córdoba City Council, Isabel Bernal, has criticized the IMAE for its initiative to finance an artistic presentation in the Sevillian capital with public money.
According to the PSOE representative, during the IMAE council meeting held on Wednesday, April 15, an explanation was requested regarding an urgent agenda item. This item involved the artistic contracting for a performance at the Teatro Central de Sevilla, to be covered by the Cordoban institute.
The councilor reported that the PSOE requested the removal of this agenda item and that the proposal's appropriateness be evaluated by the City Council's Audit Department.
In this context, the socialist representative suggested that, to support the winners of the National Flamenco Art Contest of Córdoba, they should be hired directly by the City Council to perform in Córdoba, which aligns with the IMAE's mission to manage the city's theaters and cultural programming.
